Last year we seeded onions at about this same time in the year…but in the dead of winter. This year a warm, spring-like breeze marked the day of onion-seeding. Usually I’m doubting whether spring is actually going to arrive, but this year I’m wondering if winter is still coming! At any rate, the onion seeds are cozy-snug in their trays at the Garden House and will grow tall and strong for outdoor planting in mid-April. We’ll need a few extra helping hands to plant them this year as we have more than quintupled our onion production compared to last year! Look for volunteer opportunities coming up this spring!
